The Best And The Worst of Ina, Kapatid, Anak Finale

Dubbed as the “Teleserye ng Pamilyang Pilipino” (The Best Drama for Filipino Families), Ina, Kapatid, Anak ended its 8 months run with more drama, action, fears, tears and drama and drama and drama all over again! Oh please! Well,  it’s a family drama series after all!

It was an intense finale for the number 1 series as mothers  and their daughters who are practically sisters (this is why the drama is called Ina, Kapatid, Anak) were caught in a very frightening moment of their lives as they are being captured and held by only TWO culprits, yes TWO HEADS in an abandoned building! The reason behind this havoc is REVENGE. Perhaps because the evildoer was betrayed by his partner Teresa before.

Celyn (Kim Chiu), Margaux (Maja Salvador), Beatrice (Janice de Belen) and Teresa (Cherry Pie Picache) were abducted by Mio (John Regala) and son, Diego (Alex Medina) on the Marasigan Family’s very own house located in a high-class subdivision. Numbers, numbers and numbers. Two versus  four plus the other relatives and Liam (Xian Lim) and the late comer and caller Ethan (Enchong Dee) who forgot to call the police after witnessing a dead security guard and after Mio moves away from them. What’s the first thing that would come in your mind  after those circumstances. Ofcourse, you MUST FIRST call the police, “the other significant late comers”!

The kidnapping and abduction were flawed since the hostages can freely move. Yes, their hands and foot are not tied therefore they can attack if courage can cost their lives. It’s a choice! The fact that they are moving means the rate of opportunity to fight back is increasing.

The crying, pleading and begging scenes are painful to the ears. The scene is intense but it was way too long. And how come the police were the last to find the abducted point of area?

And the worst part is when Ethan and Liam did nothing after Mio revives and shot Teresa when the two are in fact on the back of Mio, just a shoulder away. Then, the late comers “policemen” fired their guns to the antagonist.

On the contrary, the ending was well-appreciated as it gets emotional after Diego saves his mother (Teresa) but ended sacrificing his life instead as his own father accidentally fired the gun towards him. It was the BEST SCENE of the night of the finale as it moves the viewers from the bottom of their hearts to their very own souls.

Then, the family gets extended as new-born babies from both partners Liam and Celyn and Margaux and Ethan took part on the closing windows.

Maja Salvador’s Tears Outshine Kim Chiu’s in Ina, Kapatid, Anak?!

Maja Salvador bursts in tears after finding out that she was in fact the paternal twin of her best enemy Kim Chiu in number 1 hit series Ina, Kapatid, Anak on Friday night episode, “Gabi Ng Pagtutuos”.

(Maja Salvador in tears cr. Maja’s FB Page)

Maja who portrays Margaux again delivers a remarkable performance in the said primetime series that captures the viewers’ hearts. Netizens proclaim that her tears are genuinely carried out and outshine Kim (Celyn) who has less exposure and has lesser lines on that episode.

Their mothers Janice de Belen and Cherry Pie Picache (the real one and the one who carried them in the womb) also performed an impressive attack to their respective reactions to the revelations which is brought by Jayson Gainza and Ronaldo Valdez.

Maja strikes the iron while it’s hot and it’s EFFECTIVE! The story must compel Kim’s character to be more responsive and be the “real fighter” since she was originally in that character in the first place.
